Things To Do In Running Springs

Here are a few of the top things to do during your stay in Running Springs:

Little Green Valley Trail

Little Green Valley Trail meadow
Lush meadow at the end of the Little Green Valley Trail.

Little Green Valley Trail is a great hike option for those staying in Running Springs. This trail is located only a 10-minute drive from the property and leads to a beautiful meadow hidden in the mountains.

The trail is only 2.5 miles long but it does have 600 feet of elevation gain. It climbs steadily up switchbacks until it ends at a vibrant meadow full of lush plants, grasses, and wildflowers.

SkyPark At Santa’s Village

If you have little kids with lots of energy, SkyPark at Santa’s Village is a fun theme park where they can run around and enjoy many different activities.

Some of my favorites were climbing, archery, ax throwing, sharp shooting, and zip lining. We came here with an infant and an 8 year old and we all had a blast!

SkyPark is located a 10-minute drive from Running Springs. This park is not only for kids – it also has a wide variety of mountain biking trails making it a great place to adventure for the entire family.

Lake Arrowhead

Lake Arrowhead in San Bernardino Mountains, California.

As one of the most popular tourist destinations in the San Bernadino Mountains, a visit to Lake Arrowhead is a must!

For first-time visitors, I recommend stopping by the Lake Arrowhead Village where you can browse through souvenir shops or take a stroll down to the lake. If you’re looking for a place to go for a walk, follow the South Shore Trail that winds around the lakefront.

For food options, Belgian Waffle Works is my personal favorite. The food is quick and delicious plus you can enjoy sitting on the patio overlooking the lake marina.

Snow Valley Mountain Resort

Situated across from Little Green Valley Trail, Snow Valley Mountain Resort is a fun place for those who enjoy more extreme outdoor activities.

In the summer you can come here for downhill mountain biking trails. In the winter those same trails are used for skiing and snowboarding.

Many people prefer Snow Valley Mountain Resort compared to Bear Mountain or Snow Summit. This resort is much cheaper and less crowded than the Big Bear Lake resorts.
