This area is a popular destination for its scenic location, fun outdoor activities, cozy mom-and-pop restaurants, and hot springs. As a Central California local, I’ve been to Lake Isabella many times and am here to share all the best vacation rentals in Lake Isabella, California!

There are quite a few vacation rentals to choose from in the small towns around the lake for any type of vacation – from cozy cabins for a romantic getaway to larger vacation homes for a family vacation.

The best part – Lake Isabella is located just a short drive from nearby cities like Bakersfield and Los Angeles. We live only 45 minutes from Lake Isabella and come here quite often when we’re in need of fresh air and a quick weekend getaway.

Lakeview Terrace Cal King Studio is our go-to vacation rental whenever we visit Lake Isabella. It’s an incredible getaway for couples offering access to Lake Isabella as close as it gets!

There are two units here that are connected as a duplex. You can choose from the Lakeview Terrace Cal King Studio or the slightly bigger Double Queen Studio.

We love Lakeview Terrace Studio because it’s very modern and always spotlessly clean. And within a short walk, you can reach empty trails that lead down to the lakefront.

My favorite part of this rental is the lovely outdoor deck that’s perfect for watching the sunset or enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning.

2. Shirley Creek Retreat

Shirley Creek Retreat is one of the best Lake Isabella lodging options for larger groups.

While the property has some of the original rustic vibes and a stone fireplace, it is also remodeled and decorated with a modern interior. After a day full of outdoor fun, you can return to the home for a relaxing soak in the outdoor cedar hot tub.
